If arriving by sea; the island is well connected with ferry, catamaran and boat lines from Split, Dubrovnik, Orebic and nearby islands of Hvar, Drvenik, Lastovo and Mljet.
Ferry lines; Split- Vela Luka (Korcula) – Ubli (Lastovo) drives two times a day and the journey takes 3 hours. Drvenik – Korcula, drives three times a day and will take about 2 and a half hours of your time. Orebic – Korcula operates 18 times a day and the journey takes 15 minutes. To avoid crowds we recommend you reach the harbour two hours before departure. For timetables visit the pages of Jadrolinija.
If travelling by car from Dubrovnik direction: take the old Adriatic road towards Split, then take a turn for peninsula Peljesac and follow the road until Orebic. There get on a ferry for Korcula (Domince). If you are driving from the Split direction also take the old Adriatic road but now towards Dubrovnik (approx. 100km) In Drvenik (riviera Makarska) you can get on a ferry for Korcula or continue driving towards the Peljesac peninsula and reach Orebic.
If however you are arriving by coach know that Dubrovnik is well connected (over Orebic) with Korcula. Also there are coach lines from Zagreb, Split and other towns. Travelling company Autotrans operates most frequently from Korcula to other towns and settlements.
