Beaches on the island of Korcula

Badija – biggest of the 12 islands of Korcula archipelago, it has been populated in the 12th century by the Franciscan monks that renovated an old monastery that was later destroyed again. This isle is a popular excursion destination for domestic population as well as visitors because of its nudist beaches that are surrounded with rich nature. Beaches are mostly rocky with slighter entrances covered in white pebbles. In the summer months there is also a restaurant and a cafe bar working on the isle and Badija is connected with Korcula with frequent lines. Also we suggest swimming on the isles of Planjak and Prozid which are called by the visitor “tropic heavens”...

Pupnatska luka – many find this cove the most beautiful one on the island. A gravely beach located in a deep bay surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, is what gives this beach a romantic ambience. The beach is ideal for families with children and couples who want peace and quiet. Also you can enjoy various dishes in a catering facility on the beach...

Vela Przina – beach located in Lumbarda on the southern side of the island, well protected from winds. Vela Przina is a sandy beach from where you can look at the attractive view of Lastovo. Since it is much visited sometimes it’s possible that you won’t have a place to lay your towel. This beach is also ideal for families with children as well as for the young who can have fun on the volleyball courts. There is no shade on this beach but it is possible to rent parasols and deck chairs, and in the nearby cafe bar there is fast food on offer as well as various refreshing drinks. Parking will cost you 10kn/day (approx. 1,5euros)...

Bilin Zal – is a sandy beach on the northern side of Lumbarda from where there is an astonishing view on Peljesac and Korcula archipelago. The beach has some catering facilities like the restaurant in an authentic Dalmatian building located on the beach offering sea specialities (salads, grilled fish) and a smaller cafe bar nearby. There is also a parking lot next to the beach (10kn/day, approx. 1,5E) for your commodity.

Tatinja cove – another sandy beach on the northern side of Lumbarda approximately 300m away from the settlement centre. You can see all the isles of the Korcula archipelago, as well as the Peljesac peninsula and town Orebic. There are restaurants, pizzerias and cafes next to the beach.

Lenga Bredana – an ideal spot for those who love isolated and “wild beaches”. The beach stretches from the cape Raznjic until the beach Bilin zal for 1km in length and it is covered by a thick pine forest. The sea is crystal clear and the diverse seabed is very attractive to divers. There are many isolated places in this beach where you can enjoy the untouched nature and you can leave your car in the nearby forest.

Korcula city beach – a gravely beach 200m away from the old town. There are several cafes and restaurants on this beach and on the nearby beach next to the hotel Park you can rent out boats or a surfing board...
